Though IV hydration and vitamin IV treatments carry many advantages, IV hydration and vitamin IV treatments infusions can pose some challenges.
High concentrations of certain vitamins in the body can lead to problems. Those with kidney disease or heart conditions are not always candidates for vitamin IV treatments as the organs may not be able to process high concentrations of vitamins at one time.
IV hydration and vitamin IV treatments can interfere with electrolyte balance. Too much potassium, for example, can lead to a heart attack.
As with any medication, IV therapy can cause side effects for some people. Some people have encountered side effects from vitamin IV therapy, such as:
Infection at the injection site
Rashes
Vein inflammation and bruising
Blood clots
Air embolism
Various side effects from the prescribed vitamins themselves can also happen. To avoid these side effects, it’s important to tell Flourish IV and Wellness about any medications or supplements you take and reactions you’ve had in the past.
What will the experience be like?
Hydration therapy is relatively fast and painless. Enjoy the comforts of home, or the ease of setup at work with our mobile services. The only discomfort you may feel is a slight pinch when the IV needle is inserted. Sit back, relax, and we will administer the treatment. By the time your treatment is done, you’ll likely already start feeling better and you’ll notice the full benefits about 2 to 4 hours after treatment is completed, if not sooner.
